Administrator-session script execution via unescaped tag-filter links
Published Aug 7, 2023 · Updated May 5, 2025
Reflected XSS in WPCode Lite before 2.0.13.1 allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator's browser via a crafted URL. The tag-filter link generator incorporates attacker-controlled query-string content into an HTML attribute without URL escaping. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open the link, after which script runs in the WordPress administrative origin with that browser session's privileges.
