Unauthenticated code execution via URL-decoding overflow
Published Jul 19, 2023 · Updated Aug 5, 2026
Code injection in Cloud Software Group NetScaler ADC and NetScaler Gateway allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. The ns_aaa_gwtest_get_event_and_target_names function URL-decodes an oversized target value from /gwtest/formssso into a 128-byte stack buffer without a length check. Exploitation requires a Gateway or AAA virtual server configuration and yields code execution on the appliance; malformed probes can crash the packet engine and trigger a reboot.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
