Reflected XSS via unsanitized form action URL
Published Jun 23, 2023 · Updated Nov 29, 2024
Reflected XSS in affected XWiki Platform releases allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in a user's browser via a crafted URL. The previewactions.vm template places the xcontinue-derived editor URL in a form action after XML escaping but without validating its scheme. A victim must open the attacker-supplied link; the resulting script runs in the XWiki origin and can act with the victim's session privileges.
