Reflected XSS via unsanitized xredirect URL
Published Jun 23, 2023 · Updated Nov 27, 2024
Reflected XSS in affected XWiki Platform releases allows remote attackers to execute script through a crafted xredirect URL. DeleteApplication.xml assigns request.xredirect directly to a cancel-link URL without sanitizing its value for an HTML href attribute. Exploitation requires a user to open the forged URL; the script runs under the XWiki origin and can perform actions with that user's rights.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
