Reflected XSS via unescaped attachment name
Published Jun 23, 2023 · Updated Nov 27, 2024
Reflected XSS in XWiki Platform 3.2-milestone-3 and later before 14.10.6, or 15.0-rc-0 and later before 15.1-rc-1, allows attackers to execute script. XWikiAction.localizePlainOrKey inserted a localized deletion error containing the attacker-controlled attachment name into HTML without XML escaping. Exploitation requires the victim's CSRF token or a victim who ignores the missing-token warning, and script runs in that victim's session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
