CVE-2023-35153Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Visitor-session script execution via unescaped ClassEditSheet values

Published Jun 23, 2023 · Updated Nov 29, 2024

Stored XSS in XWiki Platform allows remote authenticated users with edit rights to run JavaScript when a visitor opens ClassEditSheet. ClassEditSheet inserts a category title, attachment URL, and field URL into HTML without XML escaping, allowing crafted page data to become executable markup. Exploitation requires edit rights to add an AppWithinMinutes.FormFieldCategoryClass object and set a malicious page title; any later visitor executes the payload in that user's session.
