CVE-2023-35147Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated file read via path traversal

Published Jun 14, 2023 · Updated Dec 31, 2024

Path traversal in Jenkins Project AWS CodeCommit Trigger 3.0.12 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read controller files. SQSActivityAction.doDownload appends the unvalidated request path to activityDir and serves the resulting file, so ../ sequences escape the log directory. Item/Read permission and a job configured with the SQS build trigger are required; exposed controller files can include stored Jenkins credentials.
