CVE-2023-3513Public exploit

SYSTEM code execution via unsafe account deserialization

Published Jul 14, 2023 · Updated Oct 31, 2024

Local privilege escalation in Razer Central 7.11.0.558 and earlier allows local users to execute code as SYSTEM through its service. RazerCentralService loads AES-CBC-encrypted ConnectedAccounts.bin data from a user-writable directory and passes the decrypted bytes to .NET BinaryFormatter.Deserialize under SYSTEM. A low-privilege user can supply a gadget payload and trigger loading through the unrestricted named pipe, at login, or after a restart.
