Authenticated file-prefix disclosure via parser error
Published Sep 5, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Information disclosure in OAS Engine of Open Automation Software OAS Platform 18.00.0072 allows remote authenticated users to read file prefixes. The remote file browser accepts an absolute path and passes the selected file to the configuration parser, whose error response embeds its first 17 bytes for certain invalid formats. An OAS Engine account and network access to the configuration service are required, and disclosure is limited to readable file prefixes.
