Subscriber-level stored XSS via unchecked settings
Published Sep 11, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in Danial Hatami FTP Access 1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via plugin settings. The FTPMenu function accepts POSTed FTPHost, FTPUser, and FTPPassword values without capability or CSRF checks, sanitization, or output escaping. Subscriber-level access, or a forged request targeting any logged-in user, can store a payload that runs when an administrator opens the settings page.
