CVE-2023-35080Public exploit

SYSTEM privilege escalation via permissive driver ACL

Published Nov 14, 2023 · Updated Jan 7, 2025

Incorrect default permissions in Ivanti Secure Access Client before 22.6R1.1 allow local users to gain SYSTEM privileges on Windows. The jnprTdi kernel driver's symbolic link grants Everyone handle access, allowing crafted IOCTL calls to replace a process token with a SYSTEM token. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access, the vulnerable driver running, and no active VPN connection; unsafe IOCTL use can corrupt memory.
