Pre-order manipulation via flawed CSRF validation
Published Jul 31, 2023 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
CSRF in WooCommerce Pre-Orders before 2.0.3 allows remote attackers to alter or cancel pre-orders through an administrator's browser. The administrative Pre-Orders Actions tab accepts forged POST requests because its cross-site request check does not correctly validate the request nonce. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open attacker-controlled HTML and can email customers, change release dates, or complete or cancel a product's pre-orders.
