PDF settings modification via missing nonce validation
Published Jul 17, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in WPExperts.io WP PDF Generator 1.2.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter PDF settings. The wpexperts_pdf_save_data() function accepts settings-changing requests without validating a WordPress nonce, so forged parameters are saved under an administrator's session. Exploitation requires an administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link or otherwise submit the forged request; the established consequence is unauthorized PDF configuration changes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
