Authenticated code execution via unrestricted product-image upload
Published Jul 4, 2023 · Updated Oct 31, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in SourceCodester Shopping Website 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code via product images. The insert-product.php product-image handler accepts executable PHP content without enforcing an image-only file type, then stores it where the web server can process it. Administrative access is required; requesting the uploaded file executes attacker-supplied PHP code in the web server context.
