Published Jun 8, 2023 · Updated Jan 6, 2025
Incorrect access control in Chamilo LMS 1.11.0 through 1.11.18 allows remote authenticated users to read and modify other students' notes. The notebook edit route accepts a requested notebook_id and loads the record without comparing its user_id with the current user before displaying and updating it. A student account is sufficient; the consequence is limited to unauthorized reading and alteration of personal notes, with no reported service interruption.
