CVE-2023-34923Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account impersonation via SAML signature wrapping

Published Jun 22, 2023 · Updated Dec 4, 2024

XML signature wrapping in TOPdesk 12.10.12 allows remote authenticated users to impersonate any TOPdesk user through a SAML response. The SAML SSO handler validates the original signed response but later consumes an injected, unsigned clone whose username attribute names the victim. A valid Identity Provider account is required; impersonation exposes the victim's requests and files and permits actions in the victim's role.
