Application crash via unchecked outline dictionary lookup

Improper input validation in Poppler before 23.06.0 allows context-dependent attackers to crash a PDF-processing application. OutlineItem::open fetches an outline item and calls dictLookupNF on it without first verifying that the fetched object is a dictionary. The application must process a crafted PDF containing a malformed outline item, and successful exploitation terminates the affected process rather than the host.
