Browser script execution via unneutralized contact fields
Published Jun 30, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Rocket Soft Rocket LMS 1.7 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through the Contact Form. The /contact/store handler accepts the name, subject, or message parameter without neutralizing it before page generation; public records identify no narrower code locus. Low-privileged access and user interaction are required under the CNA assessment, and the bounded consequence is unauthorized content execution in a viewer's browser.
