WebUI credential disclosure via exposed configuration file
Published Aug 25, 2023 · Updated Oct 2, 2024
Information disclosure in TechView LA-5570 Wireless Gateway 1.0.19_T53 allows remote attackers to read plaintext WebUI credentials. A web-accessible symbolic link exposes the root-owned /config directory, so an unauthenticated GET of /config/system.conf returns system_password. Network reachability to the HTTP interface is sufficient; the disclosed value enables WebUI login but does not itself alter data or interrupt service.
