Authenticated privilege escalation via unchecked role change
Published Jun 23, 2023 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Improper access control in Elenos ETG150 FM transmitter firmware 3.12 allows remote authenticated users to elevate privileges. The user-profile function accepts a user-supplied role change without enforcing that the account is authorized for the requested role. A valid low-privilege account and network access to the management interface are required; exposed interfaces are reachable over the public Internet in some deployments.
