Stored script execution via unescaped filing number
Published Jun 19, 2023 · Updated Dec 11, 2024
Stored XSS in the backend Basic Information page of EyouCMS 1.6.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in a viewer's browser. The backend accepts the web_recordnum filing-number value, stores it without neutralizing active HTML or JavaScript, and later inserts it into the management page. High-privilege access is required to plant the payload, and another user must view the affected page; successful exploitation can expose or modify data available to that user's session.
