CVE-2023-34656Network attack vector

Authenticated privilege escalation via JSESSIONID handling

Published Jun 29, 2023 · Updated Nov 27, 2024

Session fixation in Video management system 3.1 through 4.1 allows remote authenticated users to gain elevated privileges. Published records identify faulty JSESSIONID handling but do not disclose whether the application accepts, preserves, or exposes the identifier. Low-privilege network access is required, and successful reuse of the affected session grants elevated application privileges.
