Unauthenticated command execution via EWEB auth request
Published Jul 31, 2023 · Updated Oct 22, 2024
Command injection in Ruijie EWEB firmware before the applicable build 219 allows remote attackers to execute commands with highest privileges. The /cgi-bin/luci/api/auth endpoint accepts a crafted unauthenticated POST request and permits attacker-controlled input to reach command execution. No credentials or user interaction are required, and successful exploitation gives full control of the network appliance.
