Authenticated browser script execution via preview parameter
Published Jun 29, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site scripting in SimplePHPscripts Classified Ads Script PHP 1.8 allows remote authenticated users to inject script via the p parameter. The URL Parameter Handler in /preview.php processes attacker-controlled p input without sufficient neutralization before generating the page, causing browser-executable content to be returned. A low-privileged account and user interaction are required, and successful exploitation changes content in the victim's browser without directly interrupting the service.
