Administrator access via unsanitized login username
Published Jul 31, 2023 · Updated Oct 22, 2024
SQL injection in Wifi Soft Unibox Administration 3.0 and 3.1 allows remote attackers to obtain administrator access via the login page. The POST /index.php handler sends the unsanitized username value directly to the backend database, allowing SQL syntax to alter the authentication query. A crafted username, any password, and a valid CAPTCHA bypass authentication, exposing administrative access to view, modify, or revoke user data.
