Stack exhaustion in Hjson parsers through affected releases allows remote attackers to crash applications via deeply nested input. The recursive value and object parsing paths descend for every nested structure without enforcing a depth limit, exhausting the call stack. Exploitation requires a consuming application to parse attacker-controlled Hjson; the resulting stack overflow crashes that process.
