Application crash via recursive cyclic object serialization

Denial of service in Flexjson 3.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash applications by submitting cyclic object graphs. MapTransformer and IterableTransformer recursively serialize self-referential maps and lists without cycle detection, exhausting the Java call stack. Exploitation requires an application to serialize attacker-influenced cyclic objects; the demonstrated consequence is an uncaught StackOverflowError and service interruption.
