Administrator takeover via unchecked password reset
Published Jul 18, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Incorrect authorization in WebToffee Export and Import Users and Customers 2.4.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to reset passwords. The AJAX-exposed hf_update_customer function accepts a target user and changes that account's password without verifying that the caller may edit the user. Shop manager-level access is required, and targeting an administrator account enables account takeover.
