Remote code execution via JiraAPIWrapper exec
Published Jun 14, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
OS command injection in LangChain before 0.0.225 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through the JiraAPIWrapper. The wrapper's other method inserts its query into a Python exec call, directly evaluating attacker-controlled input. Exploitation requires an application to expose the Jira tool to attacker-controlled input and runs the payload with the hosting process's privileges.
