Restricted-page tag disclosure via missing view checks
Published Jun 23, 2023 · Updated Nov 29, 2024
Information disclosure in affected XWiki Platform releases allows remote authenticated users to read tags from non-viewable pages. The tags API returns tag data without applying the requesting user's page-view authorization, exposing tags associated with restricted pages. Any account that can query the API can learn those tags and use them to infer document references, but cannot modify content or interrupt service.
