Browser script execution via unsanitized email reflection
Published Jun 14, 2023 · Updated Dec 18, 2024
Reflected XSS in GetGrav Grav 1.7.42 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in a browser via the forgot-password form. The Login plugin's forgot-password handler passes the email parameter into a translated error notice without server-side neutralization. Exploitation requires a user to submit the manipulated request, limiting the direct consequence to confidentiality and integrity within that browser session.
