Stored script execution via unsanitized page titles
Published Jun 28, 2023 · Updated Nov 6, 2024
Stored XSS in Spina CMS before 2.15.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a crafted page title. The page-actions template placed the unsanitized title in the deletion confirmation message's data attribute, allowing markup to escape into browser-parsed content. Exploitation requires high-privilege page editing and a user to open the affected deletion interface; resulting script runs in that user's browser context.
