CVE-2023-34437Network attack vector

Unauthenticated password disclosure via crafted retrieval request

Published Oct 18, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025

Credential exposure in Bently Nevada 3500 System TDI Firmware 5.05 allows remote attackers to read stored device passwords. The password-retrieval functionality answers a crafted unauthenticated proprietary-protocol request with both Connect and Configuration passwords. Network reachability to the TDI is sufficient; the recovered credentials enable authenticated requests that can fully compromise machinery if hardening is absent.
