Privileged folder deletion via insufficient API validation
Published Jun 26, 2023 · Updated Nov 6, 2024
Improper input validation in Lenovo XClarity Administrator before 4.0 allows remote authenticated users to delete filesystem folders through an API. The affected web API inadequately validates the folder target supplied by a crafted request before deleting it; Lenovo has not named the endpoint. The request requires an elevated LXCA account, and successful exploitation removes appliance filesystem folders and can disrupt service.
