Credential theft via unchecked form validation request
Published Jul 26, 2023 · Updated Oct 15, 2024
Missing authorization in ServiceNow DevOps Plugin for Jenkins 1.38.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to capture stored credentials. The doTestConnection form-validation method accepts an arbitrary instance URL and credential ID, then makes an outbound request without checking permission. Overall/Read permission and a credential ID obtained through another method are required; successful exploitation discloses the selected Jenkins credential.
