TLS client authentication bypass via active system CAs

Improper certificate validation in Qt Network allows remote attackers to bypass TLS client authentication with an untrusted certificate. When a server configures a restricted custom CA list, Qt leaves system CA certificates active and accepts a client chain rooted in those broader authorities. The server must request client certificates and rely on a custom CA trust set; a certificate trusted only by the host can then pass the intended access control.
