CVE-2023-34404Public exploit

Command injection via unchecked MAC address

Published Feb 13, 2025 · Updated Mar 17, 2025

Command injection in Mercedes-Benz NTG6 MBUX head units allows physically proximate attackers to inject shell syntax through GCF. NetworkingService's NWS_PF_setMacAddrExceptionIP handler inserts the unchecked macAddress value into an iptables command passed to system(). Exploitation requires physical access to the Base Board Ethernet pins, entry to the internal MMB network, and a GCF call to MonitorService on TCP port 2021.
