CVE-2023-34392

Managed-device command execution via unauthenticated localhost service

Published Aug 31, 2023 · Updated Oct 1, 2024

Missing authentication in SEL Grid Configurator before 4.5.0.20 allows attackers to run managed-device commands via client-side script. A localhost web service accepts supported device commands without authenticating requests from client-side scripts while the application is open. An authorized operator must load attacker-controlled web content, after which commands can start or enter a device session and clear terminal history.
