TCP session hijacking via global IP ID counter

Improper authentication in Microsoft Windows 7 allows remote attackers to hijack established TCP sessions via spoofed IP packets. The TCP/IP stack uses one global IP_ID counter, letting probes reveal response behavior while forged packets recover ports and sequence values. Exploitation requires source-address spoofing and a sufficiently quiet victim connection; successful injection can alter unencrypted session traffic.
