Remote code execution via oversized connection-string options

Buffer overflow in Progress DataDirect Connect for ODBC before 08.02.2770 for Oracle allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. The connection-string option processor copies overly large option values beyond the buffer allocated for the value, allowing selected bytes to overwrite adjacent memory. Remote attackers need no credentials or user interaction; successful memory corruption permits code execution in the affected host process.
