Unauthenticated database compromise via uncleaned recipient email
Published Jun 2, 2023 · Updated Oct 21, 2025
SQL injection in Progress MOVEit Transfer and MOVEit Cloud allows remote attackers to read, alter, or delete database data via HTTP or HTTPS. A crafted header bypasses MOVEitISAPI.dll transaction checks, allowing machine2.aspx to set session variables and pass an uncleaned recipient email into UserGetUsersWithEmailAddress SQL. No authentication is required; successful exploitation can grant sysadmin access and chain into arbitrary code execution or file theft.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=14.0.5.45
