Privilege escalation in Intel Extreme Tuning Utility before 7.12.0.15 allows local users to gain elevated privileges through local access. The utility searches through a path containing an element controlled by unintended actors; Intel has not disclosed the affected file, process, or path location. Exploitation requires an authenticated local user with high privileges and no additional user interaction, and successful exploitation grants elevated privileges on the Windows host.
