CVE-2023-34345Network attack vector

Authenticated arbitrary file read via path traversal

Published Jun 12, 2023 · Updated Jan 3, 2025

Path traversal in MegaRAC SP-X 12.0 through 12.6 and 13.0 through 13.4 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files via SPX REST API. The API fails to restrict a user-controlled file path to its intended directory, allowing traversal outside the permitted location. A low-privilege network session is required, and the documented consequence is file disclosure without file modification or service interruption.
