CVE-2023-34341Network attack vector

Code execution via arbitrary IPMI process memory writes

Published Jun 12, 2023 · Updated Jan 3, 2025

Memory corruption in AMI MegaRAC SP-X 12.0 before 12.7 and 13.0 before 13.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via the SPX REST API. The API accepts attacker-controlled memory locations and performs arbitrary reads and writes within the IPMI server process without constraining those accesses to valid buffers. A high-privilege account and network access to the management interface are required; successful writes can alter data, crash the service, or redirect execution.
