Code injection in MegaRAC SP-X before 12.4 in the 12.x line and before 13.2 in the 13.x line allows local users to execute code as root. The Dynamic Redfish Extension accepts a full code payload in an HTTP POST and runs it with the Redfish service as root on the BMC chip. The feature is enabled by default on the Host Interface; remote exploitation requires BMC credentials or a separate authentication bypass.
