Host compromise via premature shadow-root teardown

Improper shadow-page handling in Xen 3.2 and later allows guest OS users to compromise an x86 host from a 64-bit PV guest. When shadow-pool memory runs short, teardown can release the top-level shadow page table while a CPU is still executing through it because the live-table precaution ends too soon. Reachability requires shadow mode during migration or as the L1TF workaround; the vendor states that host-wide denial of service, information disclosure, and privilege escalation cannot be ruled out.
