Untrusted pointer dereference in Ashlar-Vellum Cobalt 11 build 1111 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted XE file. The XE parser fails to validate a user-supplied value before dereferencing it as a pointer in the current process. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, after which code runs with the privileges of the Cobalt process.
