Code execution via uninitialized FPJ parser pointer
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Remote code execution in FATEK Automation Corporation FvDesigner 1.6.24 allows remote attackers to run code via a crafted FPJ file. The FPJ parser accesses a pointer before properly initializing it, corrupting control flow while processing attacker-controlled file data. Exploitation requires the target to open a malicious file or visit a malicious page, and successful code runs with the current process's privileges.
