Unauthenticated SQL injection via unsanitized database queries
Published Jun 13, 2023 · Updated Jan 3, 2025
SQL injection in benjjvi PyBB before dcaeccd37198ecd3e41ea766d1099354b60d69c2 allows remote attackers to read or alter database data. BulletinDatabaseModule.py sends user-supplied queries to the SQL database without sanitizing SQL metacharacters. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation can expose, modify, or interrupt access to application data.
