CVE-2023-34232Network attack vector

Remote code execution via unsafe result evaluation

Published Jun 8, 2023 · Updated Jan 6, 2025

Command injection in Snowflake Node.js Driver before 1.6.21 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted SSO browser response. The convertRawVariant function passes raw result text to eval as JavaScript instead of parsing the untrusted value strictly as JSON. Exploitation requires a malicious resource to return the payload and user interaction to follow an attacker-controlled connection URL.
